Dr. Marta Peña received a degree in Industrial Engineering and a PhD in Mathematics from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya · BarcelonaTech (UPC), Spain, in 2001 and 2005, respectively.
She has taught at the Department of Mathematics at the UPC since 2001, where she has been an associate professor since 2009. She has been a member of the management team of the Institute of Education Sciences at the UPC since 2016.
She is a member of the Linear Algebra, Matrix Analysis and Applications (ALAMA) network. Her research interests are applied mathematics and innovation in higher education. She has published more than 50 scientific works, including papers in national and international scientific journals and conference proceedings, and book chapters.
